From the Pastor’s Desk

The Greek Philosopher Heraclitus is credited with the saying, “The only, constant in life is change”. In the world in which we live, we are seeing changes that are moving at lightning speed. The Prophet Daniel wrote of this time in which we live saying, “In the time of the end many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase” (Daniel 12:4). I wonder if God gave Daniel a view into a Los Angeles freeway at rush hour and/or a picture of an AI generated robotic man? Bob Dylan wrote, “Things they are a Changing” and believe me they are. I would however disagree with Mr. Heraclitus that there is no constant in the universe because I happen to know there is One. That One is the Lord Jesus Christ – The very Word of God the Bible declares that “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). Additionally, Revelation 1:4 describes Jesus as the One “who is and who was and who is to come”. This does not sound like Jesus is coming to join our ever-changing world. Rather, He is coming to establish His Kingdom – A Kingdom of righteousness whereby all citizens will be doing the will of God not some woke ideology of this present age. Jesus does not change!
