From the Pastor’s Desk

As a final salutation to his letter written to the Church at Corinth, The Apostle Paul used the Aramaic word “Maranatha” meaning “Come Jesus Come”. This word has become the call of the Church for 2,000-years. As Jesus was ascending into Heaven, an angel spoke to the crowd watching, saying, “This same Jesus will return to you in a like manner as you saw Him go”. This brings us to an important question: Why is Jesus returning to earth and when will He come back? In the Old Testament and even in the “Revelation of Jesus Christ”, Jesus, the Messiah, will return to earth to establish His Messianic Kingdom. However, in John Chapter 14, Jesus spoke to His disciples telling them that He was going away to “prepare a room for them in His Father’s House”. These words were the standard words of a Jewish groom to his bride. Obviously, Jesus will return to collect His bride and He will come again to establish His never-ending Kingdom. Thus, the second coming of Jesus will come to earth with two visits. The first will only involve the Church while His final coming will involve an entire world. Our job as believers is to echo Maranatha Maranatha
The Messianic Come Jesus Come!
