From the Pastor’s Desk

The birth of Jesus on that first Christmas day, fulfilled God’s promise to send “One” into the world who would destroy the works of our enemy, Satan. Isaiah 53 then tells us that this child would grow into a Man who would be “led as a lamb to the slaughter”. This scripture was fulfilled when Jesus died on a Roman cross at the exact moment that all the Passover lambs of Israel were being sacrificed at the Jewish Temple. Then, the resurrection of Jesus put a nail in the coffin of death – This, proving that our worst enemy, death, no longer had victory over us. We, who have put our faith in Him who died, now have our sins forgiven and we have been given eternal life. Jesus said, at the last supper, “I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am, you may be also”. This Savior came from Heaven and He would return to Heaven and there is where we will spend our eternity. Jesus spent 40 days on earth after His resurrection and before His ascension. Today, we look to that ascension and how this ascension further fulfills God’s great plan for us – We are
His creation who He “so loves”. Our eternity is with Him!
