Last week’s message was “God’s scheduled appointments” and we spoke on four of these appointments that both our Bible and human history have recorded. The first three were all kept by a man named Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus was the Passover Lamb (fulfilling Passover). His death made us sinless in the eyes of God (fulfilling the Feast of Unleavened Bread) and at His resurrection He became the First Fruits of all who will never die (fulfilling the Festival of First Fruits). Fifty days after His resurrection, God kept another scheduled appointment. He sent His Holy Spirit and gave power to the church – Thus, completing four of seven appointments. It has been 2,000 years and God has three more appointments to complete His plan of redemption for mankind. In the end God will show up announcing (Feast of Trumpets) His final Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) and establish His Kingdom with mankind (Feast of Tabernacles). Today, we will look at the road of grace that will take us to that final glorious day. God has kept four appointments – Do you think He will keep the remaining three?
