Today is Father’s Day – A day when we reflect on that man in our life that we call “Dad”. I know as we breach the subject of a father, there are some who have not had a good relationship with their earthly father. I also know that there are many of us who have memories of a father who loved us and cared for us and who was always there for us. However, no matter what your relationship was or is with your earthly father, all of us have a Heavenly Father who loves us with a love that we cannot even comprehend. Did you know that our Heavenly Father’s number one concern is that we should not perish (because of sin) but that all would come to the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ. Even when we walk away from our Heavenly Father, He is always there with open arms to take us back. Today, we will look at a parable told by Jesus concerning a son who strayed from his father only to return to a father who never strayed from the son. The story is dubbed as the “Prodigal Son” but in reality it is the story of the steadfast, enduring love of our Heavenly Father. Today, we contemplate the love of our    Heavenly Father.
